The 2010 Big Ten Tournament kicks off Thursday and the 11-team tournament should be as competitive as any in the country.

The Big Ten Tournament will be taking place from Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana with three opening round games on Thursday. The tournament will run until Sunday.
In this deep field, Ohio State has emerged as the favorites to win the title.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have given Ohio State 7/4 odds to win the tournament. Other short odds to win are Michigan State (3/2), Wisconsin (3/1), and Purdue (5/1).
Ohio State has won two tournament titles, with the last coming in 2007. The Buckeyes finished 14-4 in the Big Ten, sharing the title with MSU and Purdue. The Buckeyes are 24-7 overall and will be the No.1 seed in the tournament and are ranked fifth in the country. Ohio State has won 10 of its last 11 games.
Michigan State has won two tournament titles, the last coming in 2000. The Spartans are currently ranked 11th in the country with a 24-7 record and will be the No. 3 seed in the tournament at 14-4 in conference play. MSU has won its last three and five of its last six after losing three straight in early February.
Wisconsin has won two tournament titles, the last coming in 2008. The Badgers are ranked 13th in the nation at 23-7 and are 13-5 in the Big Ten, earning the No. 4 seed. Wisconsin has won its last four games this season.
Purdue won the 2009 tournament with MVP Robbie Hummel. Purdue was on its way to a regular season title this year but Hummel suffered a season-ending knee injury and the Boilermakers have since lost to Michigan State, forcing the tie. Purdue is ranked sixth in the country with a 26-4 record and are also 14-4 in the Big Ten. They will have the No. 2 seed in the tournament. Purdue had a 10-game winning streak snapped in the loss to MSU, but the Boilermakers have since won their last two games of the regular season.
