INDIANAPOLIS, IN (TheSpread) – The 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is heading to the famed track of Indianapolis Motor Speedway next Sunday for the running of the Brickyard 400.

According to oddsmakers at online sports book Bodog, Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards are the favorites to win the race with 6/1 odds while Kyle Busch has 8/1 odds. Six other drivers each have 10/1 odds to win at the Brickyard.

Johnson is second in the point standings, 7 behind Edwards. Johnson has one win and seven top 5’s on the year. Johnson has won this event three times in his career. However, his average finish is just 18.3 at Indy.

Edwards leads the point standings right now. He has one win and 10 top 5’s on the year. Edwards has never won at Indy, but he does have a top 5 and an average finish of 10.5 at the track.

Kyle Busch is fifth in the point standings. He has three wins and 10 top 5’s on the year, but also has three DNF’s. Busch has never won at Indy, but he does have one top 5 and four top 10’s. His average finish is 13.7 at this track.

Among the drivers with 10/1 odds to win the race are multi-time winners of this event, Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart.
