Coca-Cola 600 Odds

CONCORD, NC (TheSpread) – The longest race of the year in the Sprint Cup Series takes place on Sunday night as the 2011 Coca-Cola 600 will be held at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

According to oddsmakers at online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards are the favorites to win with 5/1 odds each while other short odds to win are Jimmie Johnson (7/1) and Matt Kenseth (10/1).

Edwards leads the point standings by 24 points over Johnson. He has one win and six top 5’s in 11 starts. Edwards has never won at this track, but he did win last week’s All-Star Race. Edwards has an average finish of 13.1 and his driver rating at the track is 84.3.

Busch is third in the standings, 37 points out of first. He has two victories and six top 5’s on the year. At Charlotte, Busch has five top 5’s with an average finish of 16.6 and a driver rating of 108.2, which is the second-best rating in the series.

Johnson won this race in 2003-05. Johnson has one win on the year with four top 5’s. Johnson has six wins at Charlotte with an average finish of 9.8 and a driver rating of 114.7, which is the top rating of any driver in this series.

Kenseth won this race back in 2000. Kenseth is sixth in the standings, 74 points out of first. Kenseth has two victories on the year with four top 5’s. Kenseth’s average finish at Charlotte is 15.0 while his driver rating is 89.4.
