According to oddsmakers at online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, Denny Hamlin is the favorite to win the race with 3/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jimmie Johnson (9/2), Kyle Busch (8/1), Kevin Harvick (8/1), and Jeff Gordon (8/1).

Hamlin has won this event two of the last three years and he has four career wins at this track. He has an average finish of 6.1 at Martinsville and a driver rating of 112.5, which ranks third in the series. Hamlin is currently 21^st in the season standings as he has just one top 10 this year.
