FONTANA, CA (TheSpread) – The 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to the west coast this week as drivers compete in the 2011 Auto Club 400 from Auto Club Speedway. According to oddsmakers at online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, Jimmie Johnson is the favorite to win the race with 7/2 odds while other short odds to win are Carl Edwards (6/1), Kyle Busch (8/1), and Jeff Gordon (8/1). Johnson is the defending champion of this race and he also won in 2002. Johnson has five wins in his career at this track with an average finish of 5.3 and a driver rating of 124.2, which is best of any driver. Edwards has been solid all season with one win and three top 5’s in four races. He has one win at Auto Club Speedway in his career with an average finish of 9.2 at the track and a driver rating of 98.7. Kyle Busch also has one win at this track and has an average finish of 12.7 with a driver rating of 100.7, which ranks fourth amongst current drivers.
