UFC 153 Results
Fighting in a light heavyweight contest, the UFC Middleweight champion was never in danger in this fight, even welcoming Bonnar to attack him against the cage before putting the underdog away with a big knee to the body and a flurry of punches on the ground. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Silva had odds of -1350 to win this fight, which was the biggest money line in UFC history. A wager of $1,350 on Silva to win will pay out an additional $100. Silva has now won 16 fights in the UFC and only been in real danger of losing just one time.
The co-main event of Saturday’s card saw Glover Teixeira dominate Fabio Maldonado in a light heavyweight contest. Teixeira abused Maldonado on the feet and on the ground, hitting a number of big punches and elbows that badly bruised and bloodied Maldonado. By the time the second round complete, the doctored forced the fight to be stopped. Teixeira had odds of -360 to win this fight, which means a wager of $360 will pay out an additional $100.
