MINNEAPOLIS, MN (TheSpread) – ESPN.com is reporting that the Minnesota Vikings have placed backup quarterback Tavaris Jackson on injured reserve because of turf toe.
Jackson left Monday’s game with the New York Giants twice as he replaced Brett Favre in the starting lineup after Favre was unable to start due to a shoulder injury.
Favre’s status for Monday night’s upcoming game with Chicago is unknown at this time and the Vikings recently added Patrick Ramsey to their roster and they also have rookie quarterback Joe Webb who could play if Favre is unable to go on Monday.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have yet to release odds for this game due to the injury issues the Vikings are facing.
