(The Spread) – As the Red Wings try to finish off the Coyotes, the Caps, Flyers, Penguins and Predators try to build on their playoff series leads tonight.
Detroit is just one win away from sweeping Phoenix and moving on to the second round. Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the visiting Wings –131 on the money line tonight, while the Coyotes are +121.
Pavel Datsyuk has paced Detroit thus far. He has five points, two goals and a plus/minus of +5, which currently leads all NHL playoff players. Goaltender Jimmy Howard is also tied with Roberto Luongo of Vancouver for most postseason wins (3) thus far.
After losing both games in Washington to start the series, the Rangers won Game 3 and now trail the Capitals 2-1 in that series. Oddsmakers have made New York –107 money line favorites over Washington, which is –101.
According to latest NHL trends, the over is 4-0-2 in the last six meetings between the Rangers and Capitals when the game is played in New York. The Caps are 20-6 in their last 26 games overall, while the Rangers are 1-5 in their last six conference quarterfinals games.
In other NHL action, the visiting Flyers are +110 on the money line against the Sabres (-119), despite their 2-1 series advantage. The Lightning are –150 money line favorites over the Penguins, who are up 2-1 in their series, while the Predators are –144 home favs against the Ducks, who are down 2-1 to Nashville and are +133 on the ML.
