According to online sports book GT Bets, New York is favored in this game, as the Rangers are getting odds of -185 to win, while the Penguins are getting a money line of +165 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5 goals.
Despite the score just being 2-1, the Rangers clearly had the stronger performance on Thursday. New York had a 38-25 shot advantage while committing just two penalty minutes. Pittsburgh had 10 penalty minutes in the loss. Derick Brasard and Ryan McDonagh each scored for New York in the win while Blake Comeau scored for the Penguins.
