The Capitals were able to take a 3-1 lead in the series with a 2-1 win in Game 4 at home. The home team has now won three straight in this series and they have pushed or hit the under in all four meetings. Washington is the lone team to score a road victory in this series.
According to online sports book GT Bets, New York is favored to win tonight’s contest, as the Rangers are getting odds of -165 to win, while the Capitals are getting a money line of +150 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5 goals
The Capitals got the 2-1 win in Game 4 thanks to an early goal from Andre Burakovsky just 24 seconds into the third period. The Rangers took a 1-0 lead in the second when Derick Brassard found the net, but Burakovsky scored to even the game at 1-1 late in the second. Braden Holtby stopped 28 shots in net for the Capitals to give them the boost at home.
