(The Spread) – There are plenty of NHL games on Thursday’s schedule to satiate the appetite including a showdown between the Boston Bruins and the host Nashville Predators.
Boston begins play Thursday with a 39-21-9 overall record and a 23-9-4 mark on the road. Nashville is 35-25-10 overall and 17-9-7 in home games. Oddsmakers and online sports book Bodog.com have made the Bruins a -125 favorite, while the over-under rests at 5. Play begins at 8:00PM EST.
According to the latest trends, the home team is 4-0 in the last four meetings. The under is 10-1-1 in the last 12 meetings and also 4-1-1 in the last six meetings in Nashville. The Bruins are 4-0 in their last four versus the Western Conference, while the Predators are 24-11 in their last 35 Thursday games.
Boston is 6-2-2 in its last 10 contests. Following two regulation losses and two overtime losses, the Bruins ended their brief skid with a 3-2 victory at Columbus on Tuesday. Nashville is 4-4-2 in its previous 10 games and is coming off a 4-2 loss to Los Angeles after winning the two games before that.
Shea Weber leads the Predators offensively with 15 goals and 28 assists, while Boston’s David Krejci paces his squad with 11 goals and 44 assists.
Elsewhere, the Florida Panthers host the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7:30PM EST. Florida is a -120 favorite and the over-under is 5.5. The Montreal Canadiens are home to face the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7:30PM EST. Montreal is a -125 fave and the over-under is listed at 5.5. Out west, the Los Angeles Kings are home to face the St. Louis Blues at 10:30PM EST. The Kings are -200 favorites with an over-under of 5.5.
