Pavel Buchnevich scored three goals in Thursday’s 4-0 win over the Islanders. Buchnevich extended St. Louis’ lead to 2-0 early in the second period before adding a second goal just 25 seconds later, beating Semyon Varlamov with a wrister from the circle. Buchnevich would then complete a natural hat trick with an empty-netter in the final frame to cap a 4-0 victory. The 28-year-old winger now has five goals and six points in his last four contests. Lyon Starting Saturday vs. Blues
Alex Lyon will patrol the home crease versus St. Louis on Saturday, per Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press.
