Kane Apologizes
Woodbridge, IL – Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane is apologizing for the pain he caused those close to him after his arrest on charges that he and a cousin beat up a Buffalo cab driver earlier this month.
“It’s time for me to move forward,” Kane said Monday in a brief statement before the start of the U.S. Olympic men’s hockey orientation camp in suburban Chicago. He did not take questions.
Kane said he knew everyone wanted to talk about the incident, but he could not discuss details because of pending legal proceedings.
A grand jury is expected to decide this week whether Kane should face criminal charges after a dispute that left the cab driver in his hometown bruised and with broken glasses.
