WASHINGTON, D.C. (ATS Consultants) – The Capitals will host the Islanders for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup playoffs tonight at 7:30PM ET. Will the home team prosper tonight?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Capitals are -135 money line favorites versus the Islanders, who are +122 money line underdogs for tonight’s pivotal Game 7. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 5 goals.
This is going to be a physical game but while Washington is known for its postseason collapse, the Islanders haven’t won a postseason series since 1993 for a reason. The Caps are the only team to have won two straight in this series.
Alex Ovechkin is due for at least one tally against an Islanders team that has lacked consistency on both ends. Of course, playing at home will be the difference for Washington, which should win and advance to the second round.
