Friday’s NHL Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The NHL Schedule for Friday features just three games. Here is a look at the odds for today’s contests.
The featured game of the day has the Pittsburgh Penguins hosting the New York Islanders at 7PM ET. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Penguins are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -175 to win, while the Islanders have been given odds of +155 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5.5 goals. New York is 12-6 overall and 7-4 on the road while Pittsburgh is 13-3-1 overall and 6-2 at home. Pittsburgh has won four straight meetings with the Islanders and the two have hit the over in four of their last six meetings.
Another featured game has the Columbus Blue Jackets hosting the Boston Bruins at 7PM ET. Oddsmakers have the Bruins favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -140 to win, while the Jackets are getting a money line of +120 to win. The over/under total has been set at 5.5 goals. Columbus is 6-11-1 on the season and 3-6 at home while Boston is 12-8 overall and 4-4 on the road. Boston has won six straight over Columbus and the two have scored five goals or less in eight of their last nine meetings.
The final game today has the Edmonton Oilers hosting the New Jersey Devils at 9:30PM ET. Oddsmakers have yet to set odds for this game. Edmonton is 6-11-2 on the season and 4-6-1 at home while New Jersey is 8-9-2 overall and 5-6 on the road. New Jersey has won three of its last four against Edmonton and the two have hit the under in six of their last eight meetings.
