Washington Capitals DFS Spin

Alex Ovechkin scored two goals and registered an assist in Washington's 6-3 win against Philadelphia on Saturday. Ovechkin's second goal was the 730th of his career, pulling him within one of Marcel Dionne and fifth place on the all-time list. John Carlson registered four assists, giving him 42 points in 45 games. Evgeny Kuznetsov contributed a goal and two assists for Washington. Anthony Mantha, Conor Sheary, and Dmitry Orlov each found the back of the net for the Capitals.

Boston Bruins DFS Spin

Mike Reilly has been a huge factor since his trade from Ottawa earlier in the week. The Bruins blueline has been decimated with injuries so they needed another defenseman and Reilly has fit in quite well thus far. "That's exactly what I wanted," Reilly said of joining a contender. "I played against Boston a lot when I was in Montreal. From years past, playing against one another, I know the build of the team and the guys they have, seems like they have a ton of depth here. That's the first thing I saw. And obviously the leadership…just trying to round out my game more and more. The defensive side of things, be hard on guys and when I can try to be physical a little bit. That's been huge for me, being able to get the puck back more, jump in the play more and get to play a little more offense too. I think if you have that mentality it's gonna be great for all five guys on the ice. It's been a great couple days here. Everyone's been really welcoming to me, including [the media]. Definitely appreciate it." Reilly has assists in each of his last two games and has 21 assists in 43 games to date.

Capitals vs. Bruins Prediction

The Capitals are 38-17 in their last 55 meetings with the Bruins and are 19-7 in their last 26 meetings in Boston. The road team has also cashed in four of the last five meetings between these two teams while the Caps are 5-1 in their last six road games. The Bruins, meanwhile, are just 4-10 in their last 14 games coming off a win.
