RENTON, Wash. (AP) -Just as Seattle’s passing game was getting going, the status of wide receiver Mike Williams is in question.
Williams is the big unknown for the Seahawks going into Sunday’s home game against AFC West leader Kansas City. Coach Pete Carroll didn’t provide much of an update on the left foot injury Williams suffered late in Sunday’s loss at New Orleans.
Carroll gave a vague description of Williams’ injury, calling it a “foot strain” while also saying the specifics of the injury are something doctors haven’t seen.
Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck later said he’s preparing now as though Williams won’t play against the Chiefs. In the last six weeks, Williams has 41 receptions.
