Updated 2015 Super Bowl Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Following the first week of free agency in the NFL, let’s take a look at the updated odds for the 2015 Super Bowl.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI.eu, the Seahawks are now 6/1 to win the Super Bowl following an active first week in free agency around the league. The Broncos are also 7/1 to win XLIX, while the 49ers are 15/2 and the Patriots are 9/1. The Packers, meanwhile, are 10/1 to win, while the Eagles are 18/1 and the Colts are 20/1.
Some of the other mid-range long shots include the Saints at 22/1, the Panthers at 25/1, the Bears at 28/1 and the Cardinals, Falcons, Ravens, Bengals, Texans, Chiefs, Steelers and Chargers at 33/1, respectively. The Cowboys, Lions, Giants and Rams are all 40/1, respectively.
The Broncos have arguably made the biggest splash in free agency thus far, signing cornerback Aqib Talib to a six-year, $57 million contract, T.J. Ward to a four-year, $23 million deal, and DeMarcus Ware to a three-year, $30 million contract. While they did lose Eric Decker to the Jets, Denver also added receiver Emmanuel Sanders after signing him to a three-year deal.
The Patriots also made significant upgrades to their secondary, signing Darrelle Revis to a one-year, $12 million contract that includes a second option for a second year. Former Seattle cornerback Brandon Browner was added as well.
