Tony Romo moving to broadcast booth, Cowboys 11/1 to win Super Bowl 4/6/17

Romo moving to CBS

After a lot of discussion about where Tony Romo will be next season, it appears that he will be behind a broadcast booth.

Earlier this week, the longtime quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys elected to move into the broadcast booth at CBS as opposed to suit up as a possible backup for the team or as a starter elsewhere if released or traded.

According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Cowboys are still among the favorites to win Super Bowl LII next season, as they have the second-shortest odds at 11/1. The New England Patriots are the clear favorite with 4/1 odds.

Despite moving to CBS, Romo hasn’t officially said he has retired, so the door is open for him to return at some point. The Cowboys will now be without their safety net for Dak Prescott, who had a tremendous rookie season to earn the title of franchise quarterback for the team.

This move also has some impact for AFC teams like the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos. The Texas were heavily rumored to be the team looking to land Romo to really complete their team. The Texans will now go with Tom Savage as starting QB, unless they make a move or draft a QB. The Broncos will now stick with Trevor Siemian at quarterback with Paxton Lynch also in the mix in his second season with the team. The Texans have 15/1 odds to win the Super Bowl while the Broncos are listed at 18/1 to win it.
