Packers vs. 49ers Spread Predictiokn
A handful of 49ers players will miss tonight’s Thursday Night Football matchup against the Packers because of COVID-19. Listed as a 7.5-point road favorite, will Green Bay cover against the depleted Niners in this NFC Championship Game rematch?

Green Bay Packers DFS Spin
Aaron Jones (calf) is questionable for Week 9 against the 49ers. Packers OC Nathaniel Hackett said Jones will be a game-time call. As of now, the game is still on as scheduled despite players from both teams testing positive for COVID-19 this week. If Jones can’t play, it’ll be some combo of Dexter Williams and Tyler Ervin in Green Bay’s backfield.
San Francisco 49ers DFS Spin
49ers placed WR Brandon Aiyuk on the reserve/COVID-19 list and he will miss Thursday’s Week 9’s game against the Packers. Deebo Samuel and LT Trent Williams join Aiyuk on the COVID-19 list as close contacts to Kendrick Bourne, who was previously ruled out. Samuel was already set to miss the game, but the 49ers now will be without their top two wide receivers and best left tackle. It is fair to question how this game is moving forward as planned on Thursday night and, if it is indeed played, who will catch passes from Nick Mullens. The 49ers are down to Trent Taylor and Richie James at the position on the active roster, but three names on the practice squad.
Thursday Night Football Spread Prediction
Receivers Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and Kendrick Bourne, as well offensive tackle Trent Williams will all miss tonight’s game for the 49ers after the team placed each player on the reserve/COVID-19 list. This is in addition to quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) and tight end George Kittle (foot) missing the game because of injuries. I just don’t see how the 49ers stay in this game for four quarters. Kyle Shanahan is a hell of a coach and I have no doubt that the Niners will be prepared. That said, there’s just not enough quality depth on any roster to sustain this amount of players being out and still win a game on short rest and little preparation. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense will also likely be without running back Aaron Jones (calf, questionable) and Jamaal Williams (COVID-19 reserve list), but they’ll still enter this game with more healthy bodies than San Francisco. I like Green Bay to pull away in the fourth quarter after both teams struggle to score throughout the first three quarters.
