Houston Texans DFS Spin
Deshaun Watson completed 25-of-35 passes for 359 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions in the Texans’ Week 5 win over Jacksonville. It’s the second straight 300-plus yard week from Watson. This was one of his better games, though it came against a Jacksonville defense missing three starters. All of Watson’s touchdown were deep shots, with his longest a 44-yarder to a wide open Darren Fells. Watson threw an interception on a tipped pass at the end of the first half, and had another one trying to force a pass to Will Fuller in double coverage. With ex-Texans coach Bill O’Brien no longer calling plays, Watson’s ROS outlook is trending up. Watson is lined up for a potential shootout with Tennessee in Week 6.
Tennessee Titans DFS Spin
Ryan Tannehill completed 21-of-28 passes for 195 yards and three touchdowns in the Titans’ Week 5 win over the Bills. The Titans played a near flawless game without practicing much in two weeks. Tannehill welcomed A.J. Brown back to the lineup with non-stop first downs in the first half and a perfectly-thrown touchdown strike in the corner of the end zone. Tannehill also found Jonnu Smith twice for scores and ran one in himself, although he botched his touchdown celebration. It was an impressive team victory to stay undefeated against an AFC Championship contender. Tannehill’s pass attempts won’t compete with other fantasy QB2s, but he’s been one of the most efficient passers for 12 months. The Titans will stay at home on a short week against the Texans in Week 6.
Texans vs. Titans Betting Prediction
The Texans are 12-5-1 against the spread in their last 18 meetings versus the Titans and are 3-1-1 against the number in their last five games when playing in Week 6. On the other side, Tennessee has failed to cover in four of its last five games despite starting the season 4-0. The Titans are also 1-4 against the number in their last five games as a favorite and are 17-44-2 at the betting window in their last 63 games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
