Alternative SB Odds
For those bettors that feel they have a better read than oddsmakers on what the line should be in Super Bowl XLIV, alternative betting odds can be intriguing.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com currently list the Indianapolis Colts as a 6-point favorite over the New Orleans Saints in the 2010 Super Bowl. But the sports book also offers bettors alternative point spreads and over/under totals for the game as well.
For those bettors that feel that the Saints will win by more than four points, they can bet New Orleans –3.5 and get +260 moneyline odds. For those that think the Saints will win by over 7.5 points, they can wager on New Orleans –7.5 for +450 odds for those that are really risky, they can bet the Saints –14.5 for +1000 odds.
Conversely, those that think the Colts will win outright or at least keep the game close, oddsmakers offer adjusted point spreads for Indianapolis too, but you’ll pay.
The Colts at +3.5 is –340 on the moneyline, while the Colts at +7.5 is –700. For those willing to lay –1800 on the moneyline, Indianapolis is also offered at +14.5.
Oddsmakers have also put together adjusted odds for the over/under total. The regular total is 56.5, but bettors can wager on a total of 42.5 at –600 for the over and +400 on the under. A total of 49.5 can also be wagered on, with the over listed at –280 on the moneyline and the under at +210.
For those bettors that think the Colts and Saints are going to absolutely light up the scoreboard, a wager on over 70.5 will net them +310 on the moneyline. For those that are less risky, an under bet of 70.5 can be bought for –420 on the moneyline.
