Cowboys vs. Skins Updated Odds
The Sunday Night Football matchup should be a good one, with two teams from the NFC East clashing in D.C. Let’s check out this matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins.
Game Preview:
After finally getting the playoff monkey off their backs last year, the Cowboys are not only expected to challenge for another postseason berth, but also a Super Bowl. They certainly have all the pieces on both sides of the ball, but they usually find some way to trip themselves up down the stretch. It’s up to head coach Wade Phillips to ensure that Tony Romo and company don’t fall short of expectations. While it’s never easy to go on the road in your season opener, at least the ‘Boys get a Redskins team in flux entering the season.
Now that Mike Shanahan has taken over, the Skins now have direction. That said, it’s going to take Shanahan a year or two to not only get the players he wants, but also implement his style. At least he went out and found himself a quarterback. Donovan McNabb’s resume speaks for itself and while there are questions at nearly every other position on offense, at least Washington has the quarterback position figured out. Too bad they don’t know what to do with Albert Haynesworth, who was recently put back on the trade block as him and Shanahan continue to butt heads.
