Seahawks heavy favorite vs. 49ers
SEATTLE, WA (The Spread) – The Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers appear to be heading in very different directions heading into Sunday’s 4:25PM ET meeting on Sunday. What do oddsmakers think of this game.
Seattle is starting to look like the Super Bowl champion again. The Seahawks have won three straight and coming off a 24-14 win over the Eagles on the road. All three wins for Seattle have been by double digits. The Seahawks are now 9-4 on the season and just behind Arizona in the NFC West. Seattle is 7-6 against the spread this season and the Seahawks have covered in three straight.
San Francisco is coming off a very surprising 24-13 loss at Oakland last week. The 49ers have now lost two straight, including a 19-3 loss at home to Seattle on Thanksgiving night. The 49ers are now 7-6 on the season and at risk of missing the playoffs. San Fran is now 6-7 against the spread on the season as they have failed to cover in three straight and five of their last seven.
Oddsmakers like the Seahawks in a big way, as oddsmakers from BetDSI have made Seattle a 10.5-point favorite at home against San Francisco. The over/under total for the game has been set at 38 points (View Matchup). The Seahawks have won four of their last five against San Francisco and Seattle has covered in six straight in this series. These two have also hit the under in six of their last seven meetings.
The Thanksgiving Day 19-3 win for Seattle was complete domination by the Seahawks. Seattle held San Francisco to just 164 yards of offense while tallying 379 yards of their own. Colin Kaepernick was held to 16 of 29 passing for 121 yards with two interceptions while the 49ers had just 64 rushing yards as a team. For Seattle, Marshawn Lynch had 104 rushing yards on 20 carries while Russell Wilson threw for 236 yards and a score.
