Bills’ Watkins underwent hip surgery
BUFFALO, NY (The Spread) – Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins underwent offseason hip surgery after suffering the injury in Week 13 of last season.
ESPN’s Josina Anderson tweeted that Watkins had a “surgical procedure on his hip area early this offseason” after suffering the injury in a win over the Browns in late November. Bills beat writer Vic Carucci also tweeted that Watkins suffered a slight tear in his labrum and had the surgery “around Super Bowl time.”
Watkins is fully expected to be ready to practice in training camp although he’ll likely be held out of Organized Team Activities over these next two months.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bills are 33/1 to win the 2016 Super Bowl, putting them behind the Steelers (25/1), Ravens (25/1) and Giants (25/1) in terms of the odds.
