Among some of the prop wagers are Manning’s MVP odds, how many total passing yards he will compile and how many touchdown passes he’ll throw.
Manning is a –200 on the money line to win Super Bowl XLIV’s MVP award, while his over/under for total passing yards has been set at 305.5. Bettors can also wager on what his final number of passing yards will be from 0 to 501. Odds are listed for every 20 yards, so a bet placed on 301-321 has money line figure of +800.
Bettors can also wager on Peyton’s total number of completions (o/u 25.5), total pass attempts (o/u 36.5) and longest competition (o/u 39.5). Money line odds of –320 have been placed on him throwing a touchdown pass before an interception (+240), and –125 that he’ll throw more passing yards in the first half than second (-105).
To get a better feeling on prop odds, it’s in your best interest to look back at Manning’s previous performances this season. For example, Peyton has only attempted over 1.5 rushes five times this season, so a wager on the under 1.5 for number of rushing attempts at –170 is a wise bet.
