Pats Will Be SB Favorites Regardless
If you’re wondering what the point spreads would be for Super Bowl LII depending on which teams advance on Championship Sunday, here you go.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Book.com, the Patriots would be favored over both the Vikings and the Eagles if they beat the Jaguars in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday. As of this writing, New England is a 9-point home favorite over Jacksonville so oddsmakers believe the Pats are likely to advance.
Super Bowl LII Possible Matchup: Vikings vs. Patriots
Even though Minnesota would be the first team to host a Super Bowl on its home field, the Vikings would still be an underdog against the Patriots. According to Sports Book.com, Minnesota would be an underdog of a field goal against New England in Super Bowl LII. The Patriots were a 3-point favorite in last year’s Super Bowl when they erased as 28-3 deficit to beat the Falcons in overtime. With their touchdown in OT, New England covered the spread.

Super Bowl LII Possible Matchup: Eagles vs. Patriots
Philadelphia is currently a 3-point home underdog to upset Minnesota in the NFC Championship Game this weekend. If the Eagles accomplish the feat, they too would be an underdog against the Patriots in two weeks. That said, Philly would be a 7-point underdog against New England because the Eagles would have several things working against them. One, unlike the Vikings, they wouldn’t have home field advantage in the Super Bowl. Secondly, they would be the rare team starting a backup quarterback for the NFL title game. Granted, Case Keenum was a backup at the start of the season for the Vikings but he’s been starting for Minnesota virtually all year.
Possible Super Bowl LII Matchup: Vikings vs. Jaguars
This is where things get interesting. If the Jags ruin public bettors’ Sunday and pull off yet another upset, they would be an underdog in Super Bowl LII against the Vikings. With Minnesota’s home field advantage taken into account, the Vikings would be a 4.5-point favorite to beat the Jaguars in Super Bowl LII. Of course, after getting through Pittsburgh and New England in the AFC, perhaps betting the Jags on the money line would be the way to go by the time they reach the Super Bowl.
Possible Super Bowl LII Matchup: Eagles vs. Jaguars
This probably the matchup the NFL is rooting against. Without Tom Brady and a team hosting the Super Bowl for the first time in league history, you’re not left with many storylines for Philadelphia-Jacksonville. From a betting standpoint, however, this would be the tightest possible matchup. The Jaguars would be a 1-point favorite to beat the Eagles, who are currently 3-point underdogs against the Vikings for the NFC Championship Game. It would be the third straight playoff game that Philly is an underdog.
