Patriots vs. Chiefs Week 4 Prediction
After having their game postponed until tonight, the Patriots and Chiefs will lock horns at 7:05 p.m. ET in Week 4 of the NFL season. That said, the Patriots will be without Cam Newton and are now double-digit underdogs at Arrowhead Stadium. Will Bill Belichick and Co. at least cover the spread?

NFL Week 4, Regular Season
New England Patriots DFS Spin
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Patriots QB Brian Hoyer is expected to start in Week 4 against the Chiefs. Cam Newton (COIVDID-19) will be absent from the Patriots matchup versus the Chiefs and likely their Week 5 outing against the Broncos as well. Hoyer will get the starting nod on Monday night and should start versus the Broncos if he doesn’t get decimated by the Chiefs. The Kansas City defense has stifled Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson this year so Hoyer could be in for a rough Week 4. If Bill Belichick doesn’t like what he sees from Hoyer, Jarrett Stidham could start in Week 5. Neither project as viable fantasy options in single-QB leagues. Julian Edelman’s volume should insulate him from the downgrade in quarterback play. The same can’t be said for N’Keal Harry, who is a fringe flex consideration with Newton out.
Kansas City Chiefs DFS Spin
Patrick Mahomes completed 31-of-42 passes for 385 yards and four touchdowns in the Chiefs’ 34-20, Week 3 win over the Ravens Monday night. He also rushed for 26 yards and a fifth touchdown as a runner. The Ravens tried to blitz Mahomes relentlessly in this one and failed miserably, as Mahomes was 16-of-20 with three touchdowns against the blitz. He absolutely wrecked DC Wink Martindale’s unit in the opening 30 minutes, with 260 yards and three scores at the half. Mahomes was magical in the pocket, evading pressure, and finding his open weapons down the field. His 49-yard touchdown to Mecole Hardman was particularly impressive off his back foot running away from a free defender. Mahomes’ other three scores went to Anthony Sherman, Tyreek Hill, and LT Eric Fisher. It was a big bounce-back game for the Chiefs after they were stymied a bit by the Chargers last week.
Patriots vs. Chiefs Week 4 NFL Betting Prediction
The underdog is a perfect 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams while the road squad is also 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. The Patriots have covered the spread in five of their last seven games as a road underdog, are 20-6-1 against the number in their last 27 games coming off a win of more than 14 points and is 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
