ARLINGTON, TX (TheSpread) – Greg Jennings has quickly become the top receiving target of the Green Bay Packers, and for Super Bowl XLV, the fifth-year player looks to have a big game.

A second round pick from Western Michigan, Jennings has produced at least 45 receptions in each of his five seasons and was able to rack up 76 catches for 1,265 yards and 12 touchdowns in the 2010-11 season.
When it comes to prop odds for Jennings for the Super Bowl, oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com currently have Jennings with over/under odds of 82.5 receiving yards for Sunday’s game against Pittsburgh. He also has over/under odds of 5.5 receptions.
Jennings has averaged 79.1 yards per game during the regular season and 4.75 receptions per game. In the playoffs, Jennings has 17 receptions (5.6 per game) and 239 yards (79.6) in three games. While his averages are near the odds, his last two games have seen him go for eight catches for over 100 yards.
While Pittsburgh is a very tough defense, the Steelers are stronger against the run than they are the pass. Part of that is due to their willingness to blitz defensive backs. Pittsburgh gives up an average of 214.1 passing yards per game.
Clearly oddsmakers expect Jennings to have a big game due to his high odds, but the toughest odds to consider are his over/under for longest reception, which is 28.5 yards. Jennings did surpass that mark in 11 of 19 games this season, but Pittsburgh doesn’t tend to give up the big play and he will be the focal point of the secondary. I wouldn’t feel great about the over in this situation, but Jennings is a playmaker and his quarterback has a very strong arm.
