NFL Week 7 Injury Report
Last week saw some key injuries take place. Here is a look at the latest news on the NFL Injury Report heading into today’s action.
The biggest news this week was the injury suffered to Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers last week. The former NFL MVP suffered a broken collarbone after being hit by Minnesota’s Anthony Barr last week. Rodgers was placed on IR this week and will be out until late in the season, at best. Rodgers has thrown for 1,385 yards and 13 touchdowns to lead the team. With Rodgers out, the Packers turn to Brett Hundley who will now take over against the Saints today at 1PM ET in Green Bay. Hundley has 157 passing yards with one touchdown and three interceptions this season. Oddsmakers are listing New Orleans as a 4-point road favorite.
Another big name on the injury report today is Leonard Fournette of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags are on the road to face the Indianapolis Colts at 1PM ET. Fournette is listed as questionable to play today due to a right ankle sprain he suffered last week. Oddsmakers have the Jaguars as a 3-point underdog against the struggling Colts. Fournette has been a tremendous boost for the Jags in his rookie year, as he has rushed for 596 yards and six touchdowns through six games. He also has 136 receiving yards with a score.
One player that is out for today’s action is Denver receiver Emmanuel Sanders. The veteran pass catcher suffered an ankle sprain last week that has kept him from practicing this week and could keep him out extended wins. The Broncos are on the road today to face the L.A. Chargers at 4:25PM ET. Oddsmakers have Denver as a 1-point road favorite despite the loss of Sanders. He has just 25 catches for 266 yards and two touchdowns this season, but has been over 1,000 yards the last three years.
