NFL Week 1 Preseason Odds
With the Hall of Fame Game in the books, here’s a look at the Week 1 preseason matchups in the NFL.
Wednesday, August 9
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Panthers are 3-point home favorites versus the Texans on Wednesday night. As for the total, the number hit the board at 37 but has dropped a half-point to 36.5. This is the only game on Wednesday night. Considering Cam Newton has been limited in training camp, it’s unlikely that he’ll suit up for Carolina.
Thursday, August 10
There are a handful of games on Thursday night, including the Falcons-Dolphins matchup in Miami. The game is now a pick’em, while the total sits at 36.5 points. The big news in Miami over the weekend is that the Dolphins signed Jay Cutler to a one-year, $10 million contract due to the injury to starter Ryan Tannehill. Atlanta, of course, will play for the first time since the team’s Super Bowl collapse.
The Vikings and Bills also play at 7:00PM ET on Thursday and the game is also a pick’em. The total sits at 37 points. At 7:30PM ET, the Ravens are 1-point home favorites versus the Redskins, while Tom Brady and the Patriots are 5-point home favorites versus the Jaguars. At 8:00PM ET, the Saints and Browns are listed as a pick’em in Cleveland while the Packers are 2-point home favorites versus the Eagles. The Broncos and Bears are also a pick’em in Chicago.

Friday, August 11
There are three games on Friday night, including the Steelers-Giants matchup at 7:00PM ET, where New York is favored by a field goal and the total is sitting at 38. The Bengals, meanwhile, are 2-point home favorites versus the Bucs at 7:30PM ET, the Chiefs are 4-point home favorites versus the 49ers at 9:00PMET. The total in teh San Francisco-Kansas City matchup sits at 37.5 points.
Saturday, August 12
The Titans and Jets will square off at 7:30PM ET in New York, where the Jets are 2.5-point home underdogs. The Cowboys and Rams don’t have a line yet and neither do the Raiders and Cardinals. You can track NFL betting lines here.

There are only two games on Sunday, one in Indianapolis and one in San Diego. The Colts are a pick’em versus the Lions at 1:30PM ET and the Chargers are 1.5-point home favorites versus the Seahawks in L.A.
