Giants vs. Cowboys Prediction
Will Sunday’s matchup in Dallas between NFC East rivals the Giants and Cowboys be high-scoring at 4:25PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cowboys are now a 1-point home favorite over the Giants after opening as a 3.5-point favorite before Tony Romo was injured in preseason. As for the total, the number opened at 49 and was bet down to 46.
For the first time in over 10 years the Giants will have a new head coach walking the sidelines. Gone is Tom Coughlin, replaced by Ben McAdoo, the team’s former offensive coordinator. McAdoo figures to have an explosive offense again this season, led by quarterback Eli Manning and receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and rookie Sterling Shepard. The defense also got a makeover this offseason, as former Miami pass-rusher Olivier Vernon and former Rams corner Janoris Jenkins were signed in free agency.
As for the Cowboys, rookie fourth-round pick Dak Prescott will make his regular-season NFL debut after making headlines for his strong play in preseason. Dez Bryant and Jason Witten also return, while first-rounder Ezekiel Elliott should be in the mix for offensive rookie of the year this season.

OUR PREDICTION: While it’s anyone’s guess how Prescott will handle his first NFL game, nobody should be surprised if the Giants take advantage of a Dallas defense that lacks a pass-rush. Manning and Beckham Jr. should move up and down the field with ease against a Cowboys team that figures to have to out-score opponents this season. Jason Garrett and OC Scott Linehan should put Prescott in a good position to succeed by pairing down the playbook, too. Look for Sunday to be a high-scoring affair in Dallas.
