Texans vs. Lions Thanksgiving Prediction
After opening as a 2.5-point home underdog, the Detroit Lions are now 3-point dogs versus the Houston Texans on Thanksgiving Day. Will Deshaun Watson and the Texans cover the field goal or are Matthew Stafford and the Lions the better bet to cash today’s ticket?

Houston Texans DFS Spin
Deshaun Watson has accounted for 88 percent of the Texans’ offensive yardage this season. That would be the highest rate for a player in the past decade if it holds for the next six weeks. Houston’s offense is a bottom-tier unit without their all-world QB, who threw for 344 yards and three touchdowns in Week 11 against the Patriots. If Houston is in a good spot against a suspect defense, he’s going to produce or no one in the Texans’ offense is going or produce. Watson is a high-end QB1 for Week 12 against a Detroit defense that just gave up 16.7 fantasy points to P.J. Walker.
Detroit Lions DFS Spin
Kenny Golladay (hip) is out for Week 12 against the Texans. Danny Amendola (hip) is also out for the second straight week. Golladay hasn’t played since Week 8 and also missed Weeks 1-2 of the season. It’s been a lost contract year for the star wideout. Fresh off being shut out in Carolina, the Lions will face the Texans with another sorry group of receivers.
Texans vs. Lions Betting Prediction
The Lions are just 1-7 against the spread in their last eight games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game and are also winless at 0-11 against the number in their last 11 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game. Detroit has failed to cover in 11 of its last 15 games as an underdog, is 5-15 against the number in its last 20 games coming off a loss of more than 14 points and is 2-6 against the spread in its last eight games after scoring less than 15 points in its previous game as well.
