AP’s dream scenario to play for ‘Boys?
DALLAS, TX (The Spread) – The speculation that Adrian Peterson could wind up playing in Dallas next season continues to grow.
Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole writes that Peterson’s “dream scenario” is that he’s traded to the Cowboys for next season. Cole also mentions that the Colts and Cardinals are possible suitors for Peterson, who seemingly wants out of Minnesota following a tumultuous 2014 that saw him land on the commissioner’s exempt list.
Dallas would have to get creative with its salary cap in order to make room for Peterson. The team recently freed up cap room when quarterback Tony Romo agreed to restructure his contract last week. The move cleared nearly $13 million in cap space for the Cowboys, but they still wouldn’t have enough money to fit Peterson under their current cap.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cowboys are 14/1 to win the 2016 Super Bowl while the Vikings are 50/1 long shots.
