Broncos vs. Bears Pick
John Fox meets up with his former team when the Chicago Bears host the Denver Broncos in NFL Preseason Week 1 action tonight at 8PM ET.
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Bears are listed as a slight favorite at home tonight, as Chicago is getting odds of -1 point against the Broncos. The over/under total for tonight’s game is listed at 35 points.
The Broncos begin their defense of the Super Bowl Championship tonight but will have a lot of different looks, especially at quarterback. Peyton Manning has retired, leaving Mark Sanchez under center at quarterback. Sanchez played in just four games last season, so it’s unclear what he’s bringing to the table. The eyes will really be on rookie Paxton Lynch, who is fighting for the backup spot.
The Chicago Bears have some new pieces this year as well, but one big question is the status of Kevin White, the 2015 first-round pick that missed all of last season with an injury. He is expected to play tonight and is probably eager to make a statement in his first NFL action.

Preseason games are hard to pick, but going with the home team is often a safe bet, especially with a close spread like this. Chicago won both of their home preseason games last season and with young talent like White looking to establish themselves, they should be able to have some success on offense, even against a good Denver defense. The Broncos are likely to have some offensive issues as they work in new quarterbacks as well.
