SEATTLE, WA (The Spread) – Jordy Nelson has emerged as one of the top receivers in the NFL this season. Will Nelson be able to rack up big yards against the Seattle defense on Sunday?
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Nelson has been given an over/under of 75.5 receiving yards against Seattle and his reception total has been set at 5.5. His odds for scoring a touchdown has been set at +120. The Packers will meet the Seahawks on Sunday at 3:05PM ET on FOX in the NFC Championship Game.
Nelson has led the Packers in receiving this year, catching 98 passes for 1,519 yards and 13 touchdowns. He is averaging 94.9 yards per game. He set career-highs in receptions and yards this season and was two TDs shy of his career-best. Nelson was limited last week against Dallas, catching just two passes for 22 yards and he didn’t score. In the first meeting with the Seahawks, Nelson caught nine passes for 83 yards but didn’t score.
Nelson has had at least 76 receiving yards in 10 of Green Bay’s 17 games this year and he has caught at least 6 passes in nine games and he has scored a touchdown in 10 different games. Nelson will be meeting up with the NFL’s top-ranked passing defense on Sunday. The Seahawks are giving up just 185.6 passing yards per game this season.
