Starks didn’t play most of the season but came on toward the end of the year and in the playoffs, where he rushed for 263 yards over the three games.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com currently have given Starks over/under odds of 50.5 rushing yards for Sunday’s game.
Starks is averaging 87.67 yards per game in the playoffs and had at least 66 yards in each game. Each of those games were against pretty solid rushing defenses. Pittsburgh has the top rushing defense in the NFL, giving up just 62.8 rushing yards per game. The key for Starks may be in carries, as he has 70 carries through three playoff games. He has had a minimum of 22 carries in each game, but for this game, he has over/under odds of 16.5 rushing attempts.
Starks also has been given over/under odds of 11.5 yards for longest rush from scrimmage. In the playoffs, Starks has had a long of at least 13 yards in each game. In his three regular season appearances, he had a long of at least 12 yards just once.
Another prop odd to consider is whether Starks will score a touchdowns. He has been given odds of +135 to score and -165 to not score. In six games this year, Starks has just one touchdown. That came in the NFC Championship. With Green Bay being a pass-heavy offense and Aaron Rodgers have the ability to run near the end zone, Starks doesn’t get a lot of red zone looks. He may have to break off a big run to get a touchdown.
