DeSean Jackson Redskins Odds
WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Spread) – Now that DeSean Jackson is officially a Washington Redskin, how many receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns will he have in 2014?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the over/under for Jackson in terms of receiving yards is 1,000, while his over/under total for receptions is 72 and touchdowns is 7. Jackson finished with a season-high of 82 for receptions last season and 1,332 for yards. He also tied his season-high for touchdowns with nine, which was the same total that he finished with in 2009.
On Tuesday the Redskins agreed to terms with Jackson on a three-year, $24 million contract with $16 million guaranteed. The former Eagle will line up opposite Pierre Garcon in a Washington offense that also features quarterback Robert Griffin III and running back Alford Morris. New head coach Jay Gruden certainly has a lot of weapons to play with heading into the new season.
Speaking of RGIII, who will record more touchdown passes in the 2014 NFL regular season: Jackson’s former quarterback or his new one? Nick Foles, Jackson’s former quarterback, is -5 to throw more touchdowns than Griffin III, who is looking to have a major bounce back campaign after suffering through an injury-riddled 2013 season.
The Redskins are currently 50/1 long shots to win the 2015 Super Bowl, which gives them the same odds as the Browns, Dolphins, Jets, Rams and Buccaneers.
