Eagles favored tonight vs. Cowboys
PHILADELPHIA, PA (The Spread) – The Philadelphia Eagles look to regain complete control of the NFC East tonight when they host the Dallas Cowboys in NBC Sunday Night Football.
The Eagles took a 1-game lead on the Cowboys in the NFC East on Thanksgiving with a 33-10 win over the Cowboys in Dallas. However, Philly suffered a 24-14 loss to the Seahawks at home last week, dropping them to 9-4 on the season and back to a tie in the division. The Eagles have covered the spread in their last six wins, but failed to cover in their last four losses. They have been favored five times in their last 10, going a perfect 5-0 SU and against the spread in the five games. The Eagles are 8-5 against the spread for the season.
The Cowboys are coming off a 41-28 win over the Bears last week to move to 9-4 on the season. Dallas has won three of its last four, with the lone loss coming against the Eagles on Thanksgiving. Dallas is now 7-6 against the spread on the season, but just 2-4 ATS in its last 6. Dallas has been the underdog in two of its last 10, going 2-0 SU and ATS in those two games.
Oddsmakers like the Eagles at home tonight, as oddsmakers from BetDSI have made Philadelphia a 3.5-point favorite at home against the Cowboys. The over/under total for the game has been set at 54.5 points (View Matchup). The road team has won five of the last six in this series, and the Cowboys have covered in three of their last five against the Eagles.
The Thanksgiving Day game between these two was complete domination by the Eagles. Philadelphia amassed 464 yards of offense in the win while holding Dallas to just 267 total yards. The key in the win was Philly’s run game, which has been inconsistent throughout the year. The Eagles had 256 yards on the ground in the win, with LeSean McCoy rushing for 159 yards on 25 carries with one touchdown.
