Devery Henderson is just one of the many tools the New Orleans Saints have in their arsenal. But how big of an impact will he make in Super Bowl XLIV?
Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made the Saints a 6-point underdog against the Indianapolis Colts in the 2010 Super Bowl. And along with the game odds, the sports book is also offering prop wagers on Henderson for the big game.
Henderson caught 51 passes for 804 yards and two touchdowns in 2009, including a three-catch, 116-yard, one-touchdown effort against the Patriots in Week 12. His only other touchdown came in Week 1 of the season when he hauled in five passes for 103 yards against the Lions.
That said, Henderson has been on fire so far in the postseason. He caught four passes for 80 yards and a touchdown in the Saints’ Divisional Round win over the Cardinals and had another four catches for 39 yards and a touchdown against the Vikings in the NFC Championship Game.
Assuming he continues his run of scoring a touchdown in the playoffs, a wager on “Yes” for Henderson’s touchdown prop would net a bettor +240 on the money line. Keep in mind though that he only had two touchdowns in the regular season, so his two postseason scores might be an anomaly.
