Dallas Cowboys DFS Notes
Cowboys activated QB Andy Dalton from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Coach Mike McCarthy said the coaching staff will take Dalton’s status “day by day,” but anyone who has watched Dallas’ offense over the last month knows that isn’t true; Dalton practiced in full and is expected to start in Week 11 against the Vikings if only to give the Cowboys a glimmer of hope. Dallas’ offense has averaged 10.2 points since Dak Prescott initially went down but Dalton still offers league-average play under center. The Vikings have also permitted the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.
Minnesota Vikings DFS Notes
Dalvin Cook rushed 30 times for 96 yards in the Vikings’ Week 10 win over the Bears. Cook was bottled up for most of the game and only managed two runs over 10 yards. Both came in the final quarter. He saved his day in PPR leagues with four receptions for an additional 16 yards. Despite Cook continuing to get stuffed for minimal games, Minnesota refused to try anything different. Even while averaging 3.2 yards per carry, Week 10 was Cook’s fifth game over 100 total yards in his previous six outings. The only game that he didn’t hit that mark saw him exit with an injury. Even in the games where Minnesota’s offense looks ruined, Cook is likely to post a solid fantasy day. He remains a viable candidate to be the RB1 overall going forward.
Cowboys vs. Vikings Prediction
The Cowboys are 0-5 against the spread in their last five meetings in Minnesota and are 0-5 against the number in their last five games versus the Vikings overall. Dallas is also winless against the spread in its last six road games, is 0-7 against the number in its last seven conference games and has failed to cover in five of its last six games coming off a loss. The Vikings, meanwhile, are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games overall, are 5-2 against the number in their last seven games versus a team with a losing record and are 39-18-1 ATS in their last 58 home games.
