Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs won’t let the magic die. On Sunday night they took down the Chargers 19-17 on a last second game winning field goal by Matthew Wright that bounced off the left post but still went through the uprights. Patrick Mahomes completed 24 of 37 pass attempts for 210 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Pacheco rushed for 55 yards on 14 carries. The defense didn’t force a turnover but managed 3 sacks and 6 tackles for loss. After giving up 0 points in the first half they allowed 17 points in the second half.
Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns played their road game against the Steelers last week and lost 27-14 to split the series. Jameis Winston completed 24 of 41 pass attempts for 212 yards. He also had 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Nick Chubb had 11 carries for 48 yards. The defense recovered a fumble but only managed one sack on the day. Also of note: Dustin Hopkins went 0-2 on field goals, missing a 38 yarder and a 43 yarder. He is now 16-25 for the season and has also missed 2 extra points.
Chiefs vs. Browns Betting Trends
Kansas City is 5-0 SU in their last 5 games against Cleveland
The UNDER is 7-6 in Kansas City’s last 13 games
Cleveland is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games against Kansas City
Cleveland is 13-6 ATS in their last 19 home games
Chiefs vs. Browns Prediction:
Take the Browns to cover at home on Sunday afternoon. The Chiefs are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games and 0-3 ATS in their last 3 road games. The Browns have covered in 2 of their 3 home games with Jameis Winston at quarterback. Kansas City is also still struggling with injuries on the offensive line, as left tackle D.J. Humphries has been ruled out for this game. Myles Garrett and the Browns defense should find success. The Chiefs have struggled to dominate all season, with their last 4 wins coming by 3 points or less. I think the Browns can keep this one close enough to cover.
Chiefs vs. Browns Prediction: Browns +4.5
