The storied rivalry between two of the AFC’s best continues on Sunday when the New England Patriots host the Indianapolis Colts.
The Patriots are 7-2 on the year and 4-0 at home while the Colts are 6-3 on the season and 2-3 on the road. Trends show that the Colts are 4-1-1 against the spread in their last six games with New England while the underdog has covered in 11 of the last 16 in this series.

The opening point spread odds had New England favored by 3 points and that spread grew to 4 during the week. The over/under total opened at 50.5 and dropped down to 49.5 throughout the week.
New England has won six of their last seven and hasn’t lost at home this year. The Patriots have had to win with offense this year as their defense is giving up 23.8 points and 390.8 yards per game, including 277.8 passing yards per game. The offense is leading the league in scoring at 28.7 points per game despite averaging just 338.7 yards per game. Tom Brady has thrown for 2,176 yards and 17 touchdowns on the season with only four interceptions to lead the team.
The Colts have won four of their last five with all but one game being decided by single digits. The lone loss came by two points at Philadelphia. Peyton Manning has continued to do his thing, throwing for 2,663 yards and 16 touchdowns with just four interceptions through nine games. Manning has done all this despite inconsistencies in the starting lineup and losing tight end Dallas Clark for the year due to injury. The Colts are holding opponents to 20.6 points and 344.2 yards per game on defense. They are allowing 133.2 rushing yards per game which ranks near the bottom of the NFL.
In terms of injuries, Indianapolis will likely be without running backs Joseph Addai and Mike Hart due to injuries while linebacker Gary Brackett is also doubtful with a toe injury. New England guard Stephen Neal is listed as questionable with a shoulder injury.
Over 39,000 public bets have been placed on this game with the Patriots getting 54% of the wagers at -4 against the Colts.
