Kyler Murray completed 24-of-31 passes for 133 yards and three touchdowns in the Cardinals’ 31-21 Week 4 loss to the Panthers, adding six rushes for 78 additional yards. These numbers are extremely hollow from a performance standpoint, as Murray and the Cardinals were totally outmatched for more than two quarters. At halftime, Murray had 54 passing yards and the Cardinals only turned it on when down 28-7. Still, Murray has the skills to save his fantasy football day in almost any game due to his outstanding skills. But from a winning team standpoint, the Cardinals simply could not convert a third down in the first quarter and Murray’s overthrows were a part of that. He remains a strong QB1 against the Jets in Week 5.
New York Jets DFS Spin
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports the Jets are expected to start Joe Flacco in Week 5 against the Cardinals. It means Sam Darnold (shoulder) will miss at least one game. Darnold has been pushing to play through an AC joint sprain, but the Jets don’t want to risk a setback. Flacco starting downgrades an already league-worst offense. The winless Jets have been burned by injuries all season.
Cardinals vs. Jets Betting Prediction
The Jets are winless at 0-4 against the spread in their last four games overall, are 1-6 against the number in their last seven games played in the month of October and are 4-10-1 at the betting window in their last 15 home games. The Cardinals, meanwhile, are 7-2-2 against the spread in their last 11 road games, they’ve covered in five of their last seven games played in October and are 7-3-2 against the spread in their last 12 games overall.
