The Chiefs averaged 22.9 points per game on offense and had the top rushing attack in the league, averaging 164.2 yards per game on the ground. Running back Jamaal Charles led the way for the Chiefs, rushing for 1,467 yards and five scores. He averaged 6.4 yards per carry. Defensively, Kansas City allowed 20.4 points and 330.2 yards per game. The Chiefs were strong against the run, giving up only 110.3 yards per game.
Buffalo went just 4-12 last season and was 2-6 on the road. The Bills posted just 17.7 points and 304.9 yards per game on offense last season. Buffalo averaged under 195 passing yards per game. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 3,000 yards and 23 touchdowns last season. Buffalo allowed 26.6 points and 361 yards per game on defense. The Bills had the worst rushing defense in the league, allowing 169.6 yards per game on the ground.
In terms of Injuries, Buffalo receivers Donald Jones and Roscoe Parrish are both questionable with leg injuries while Kansas City receiver Jonathan Baldwin is questionable with a wrist problem. Quarterback Matt Cassel is listed as questionable with a rib injury but he has insisted he will play.
