Panthers vs. Bucs Free Pick
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and struggling rookie quarterback Jameis Winston will attempt to hand the Carolina Panthers their first loss of the season today at 1:00PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Panthers are 3-point road favorites over the Bucs while the over/under is currently sitting at 39.5 points for today’s game. Carolina enters play with a 3-0 record and is 2-1 against the spread, while Tampa Bay is 1-2 and 1-2 against the number.
Winston was just 17-of-36 for 261 yards with one touchdown and an interception in the Bucs’ Week 3 loss to the Texans. He continues to struggle with his accuracy and now faces a difficult assignment today against Carolina, which is expected to get back linebacker Luke Kuechly (concussion) from a two-week absence.
The Panthers, meanwhile, haven’t been overly impressive in their three wins over the Jaguars, Texans and Saints, but they’re 18-8-1 against the number in their last 27 games versus a team with a losing record. The favorite is also 11-4 against the spread in the last 15 meetings between these two teams while the road team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
