The Green Bay Packers are red-hot and will take on a struggling San Francisco 49ers team at 4:25PM ET, but can Aaron Rodgers and Co. avoid a letdown?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Packers are 8-point home favorites versus the 49ers while the over/under total is sitting at 48.5 points. Green Bay is 3-0 and 3-0 against the spread, while San Francisco is 1-2 straight up and 1-2 against the number.
Following their 43-18 loss to the Steelers in Week 2, the Niners followed up that performance by getting routed 47-7 in Arizona last Sunday. Colin Kaepernick was a hot mess in the loss to the Cardinals, completing just 9-of-19 passes for 67 yards and four interceptions.
But for whatever reason, Kaepernick has also played well against Dom Capers’ Packers. He’s 2-0 against Green Bay in his career and has completed 27-of-39 attempts for 412 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Green Bay looks unstoppable but its coming off a short week of practice and preparation after playing on Monday night and could be in store for a letdown this week in Santa Clara. The spread for this game has already been bet down from 9 to 8 so if you like the home dog, don’t wait.
