Patriots vs. Cowboys Odds
The New England Patriots return from their bye to face the injury-plagued Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at 4:25PM ET on CBS.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Patriots are the clear favorite on the road, as they are getting odds of -8.5 points against the Cowboys. The over/under total for the game has been set at 49.5 points. New England has won four straight meetings with Dallas, covering the spread in three of those four wins. These two have hit the under in five of their last six encounters.
New England is 3-0 on the season, 2-1 against the spread and 2-1 with the over. The Patriots are rolling thus far, winning all three games by at least 7 points while averaging 39.7 points and 457.7 yards per game on offense. The defense is giving up just 23.3 points and 395.3 yards per game. Tom Brady has thrown for 1,112 yards and nine touchdowns this season without an interception. Rob Gronkowski has 16 catches for 308 yards and four scores while Jamie Collins is leading the defense with 22 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
Dallas is 2-2 on the season, 1-3 against the spread and 2-2 with the over/under total. The Cowboys have lost two straight coming into this game, partly due to the injury to Tony Romo, who is on short-term IR with a broken collarbone. The Cowboys are also without Dez Bryant, who has a broken foot, but could return before the end of October. Dallas is now averaging just 23.8 points and 383.2 yards per game on offense while the defense is giving up 25.2 points and 357 yards per game. Brandon Weeden has thrown for 551 yards and two touchdowns in place of Romo while Joseph Randle has rushed for 229 yards and four scores. The Dallas defense is led by Sean Lee, who has 36 tackles, a sack and an interception. However, Lee was concussed last game and is questionable for Sunday.
