NFL Week 3 Point Spreads
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The odds are out for Week 3 in the NFL, including for the Super Bowl rematch between the Broncos and Seahawks in Seattle.
Perhaps both the Broncos and Seahawks were caught looking ahead to this Sunday afternoon as neither teams covered the spread in Week 2. Denver failed to cover as a double-digit home favorite versus Kansas City, although at least the Broncos won. The Seahawks, meanwhile, fell to the Chargers on the road as a 6.5-point favorite. This Sunday, Seattle will host Denver at 4:25PM ET and according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Hawks are 4.5-point favorites while the total is currently sitting at 48.5 points.
One other intriguing matchup for Week 3 in the NFL resides in Detroit where the Lions will host the Pacers at 1:00PM ET. Both teams are 1-1 on the season as Green Bay rebounded to beat the Jets last Sunday after it was crushed by Seattle in the season opener, while the Lions took one on the chin in Carolina after beating the Giants at home on “Monday Night Football.” The Lions are 1-point favorites over the visiting Packers for this weekend’s game, while the total is currently sitting at 52 points.
Another potentially great divisional matchup will take place in Arizona where the Cardinals host the 49ers at 4:05PM ET. Despite winning their first two games to open the season, the Cardinals are 2.5-point home underdogs versus the Niners, who are coming off a 28-20 loss to the Bears on “Sunday Night Football.” San Francisco blew a 17-0 first-half lead in that contest.
Finally, the two nationally televised games will feature the Steelers visiting the Panthers at 8:30PM ET on “Sunday Night Football” and the Jets will host the Bears at 8:30PM ET on “Monday Night Football.” Carolina is currently a 3-point favorite in that game while New York is a 1-point favorite despite Chicago’s come-from-behind victory over San Francisco last weekend.
