According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Redskins are currently listed as 5.5-point home favorites over the Jaguars, while the over/under total for this game is sitting at 42.5 points. Washington opened as a 6.5-point favorite before the number was bet down, while the total opened at 45 and has also been bet down.
The Jaguars were well on their way to pulling off the biggest upset of Week 1 after building a 17-0 halftime lead in Philadelphia against the Eagles. But 34-0 unanswered points by the Eagles in the second half erased the Jags’ lead as they lost 34-17 as a 10-point underdog. Chad Henne completed 24-of-43 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns to Allen Hurns (4 catches, 110 yards, 2 TDs) in the loss.
The Redskins couldn’t generate any offense a week ago in Houston as they fell 17-6 to the Texans as a 3-point road underdog. Robert Griffin III completed 29-of-37 passes for 267 yards but the Washington offense continues to have trouble putting the ball into the end zone. The first-string offense failed to score a touchdown in the preseason and it looks like their issues have carried over to the regular season.

The under is also 6-2 in the Redskins’ last eight games overall and 5-2 in their last seven games following a straight up loss. On the other side, the under is 8-2 in the Jaguars’ last 10 games in Week 2 and 10-3 in their last 13 games in September. Until Washington figures out its issues offensively, this game looks like a great spot for bettors to jump on the under.
